Freelance filmmaker, he works for Production Companies, Advertising Agencies, Communication Agencies, Private Companies, Public Institutions and Foundations making audiovisual products for their diffusion.
More than thirty years in the audiovisual sector as an independent professional have allowed him to acquire a wide experience in the making of the most diverse audiovisual products: Commercials, Corporate Videos, Institutional Videos, Reports, Documentaries, Video Clips, TV Programs, Series and fiction products.
In addition to an accredited recognition for the high quality of his work, passion, emotion and empathy are the key differential of the creations of Carles Mestres.
My professional beginnings were in television programs -channels such as channel+,TVE, TV3and the Germans D.W. and SAT1- for which I made reports and television shows of different formats and duration. In parallel, I made advertising products for Producers and Advertising Agencies.
Over the course of my career I have alternated and combined the tasks of Realization and of Direction of photography in many audiovisual works of various narrative registers: Documentaries, Commercial Videos, TV Series, Short Films and feature films.
The combination of the Realization and the Direction of photography has been fundamental for me, and an important added value, being the Realization the most demanded by my clients and the one that personally I am most passionate about at the moment.
I work meticulously and intensely, with serenity in the face of challenges, taking care of all the details and savoring each step of the work. My goal: to becapable of transmitting and arousing emotionsin those to whom each commission is directed, that public that we do not see, but that is the final recipient of the stories, just as we have imagined them.
For me it is essentialcapture the soul of the message and make each creation, each audiovisual production exclusive, different and innovative.
